About Us

Pragathi Alliance is inspired by the selfless, diligent  and informed work of many non-governmental organizations around the world. We recognize that citizens and residents in the United States are eagerly looking to provide assistance through volunteering, donating and providing long distance help. Pragathi will be a hub for such asistance and a link to the NGOs. Areas in which  Pragathi Alliance is interested in assisting include:

  • Education of children who are not being educated for economic or social reasons or lack of  proximity to school.

  • Education of women and empowering them to be key contributing members of the society.

  • Healthcare and health awareness.

  • Clean drinking water and sanitation

  • Environmental protection through reduction of industrial waste and pollution of air, land and water, curbing overuse of fertilizers and  pesticides in agriculture, promoting soil cultivation (permaculture), afforestation and ecocentric farming.

  • Protection of endangered or critical species in the biosphere.

  • Food production and consumption in a sustainable way.

  • Waste reduction and reuse.

  • Solar panels and appliances

  • Reduction of tobacco and alcohol use

  • Education of children and public on the urgency of Climate Change and the measures that people need to take.

  • Surveys and studies that help in the above areas.

We invite NGOs and US residents and citizens to contact us if they desire to be linked in such a manner. However, for us to raise and provide funds, we need a highly reliable record of performance which is aligned with Pragathi's goals and concrete references. We may need to make a site visit to ensure both that these links do not violate any US laws and the assistance is used properly.  Similarly contributions/donations to the NGOs and to Pragathi need to be for specific purposes that are commensurate with Pragaathi's mission.

Pragathi Alliance is 501(c)3 non-profit organization and all donations and contributions to Pragathi Alliance are tax deductible.
